Self-healing paint protection film on the high-impact zones of a new Toyota Tacoma TRD, plus smoked headlights to match the truck’s blacked-out trim.
The project
Protect the impact zones, keep the look factory.
The Tacoma TRD is built to leave the pavement, which is exactly where rock chips and gravel spray start eating a factory finish. The owner brought this truck in while the paint was still flawless. We covered the areas that take the most abuse in optically clear, self-healing film, so the factory color reads exactly the same and light scratches disappear with heat from the sun. Smoked headlight film ties into the dark grille and trim while guarding the lenses from chips and yellowing.
